Performing musicology in the socio-cultural space of Ukraine of the XXI century: scientific and creative discourse

At the present stage, performing musicology plays an important role in the formation and development of professional musicians. In the socio-cultural space of Ukraine of the 21st century, it continues the historical traditions of research on the formation of performers, but, at the same time, it undergoes serious transformations. The aim of the research is to identify the key, fundamental principles of performance skill in the context of today’s realities, to determine the factors influencing the reformatting of the essential features of the creative activity of musicians. The methods of work were: analysis of scientific literature, systematization of methodological complex, method of analysis and synthesis, method of thematic analysis and critical approach to discretization of musical works. The results of the work allow us to assert about radical changes in the approach to art as such, as well as in the formation of professionals and their creative activity with a change in the basic parameters of the approach to music education. The institutionalization of art currently plays a leading role in the cultural socialization of masters, but today it is not decisive. With the development of progressive methods and approaches to education, modern technologies, globalization, the process of becoming a musician becomes easier, but access to the world of art without mediation opens wide horizons for promising musicians, and, at the same time, increases the level of competition for material and non-material incentives. The study offers a new perspective on performing musicology as a promising field for further scientific work, which will allow a better understanding of the peculiarities of the formation of musicians in the socio-cultural space of the 21st century

Activities of Drohobych Music School in the Context of Ukrainian Academic Art (on the Example of the Institute of Music Art of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University)

В дисертації досліджено специфіку дрогобицької музичної школи як своєрідного феномену українського академічного мистецтва. Базовим осередком дрогобицької музичної школи виступає Навчально-науковий інститут музичного мистецтва Дрогобицького державного педагогічного університету імені Івана Франка. Дрогобицька музична школа позиціонується як регіональна, виконавська, педагогічна, наукова, що підтверджується активністю мистецьких процесів, формуванням і збагаченням наукових, педагогічних, виконавських традицій тощо. В дослідженні здійснено систематизацію та класифікацію педагогічних засад регіональних шкіл вокального та інструментального мистецтва; визначено художню і практичну цінність оригінальної музики та перекладень, рівень та обсяг методичних напрацювань, потенціал і методи науково-теоретичного осмислення мистецької діяльності представників дрогобицької школи в контексті українського академічного мистецтва. У роботі запропоновано типологію ознак дрогобицької музичної школи на прикладі Інституту музичного мистецтва як автономної регіональної школи; розглянуто творчі досягнення та встановлено роль провідних науковців, педагогів, виконавців у процесі становлення школи як самодостатнього феномену (на прикладі творчої діяльності А. Душного, М. Копніна, Е. Мантулєва, В. Салія, К. Сятецького, П. Турянського, Є. Шуневич); висвітлено концертний, дидактичний та навчально-методичний доробок як результат розвитку інституції, у рамках якого здійснено аналіз наукових, педагогічних та виконавських здобутків; простежено й охарактеризовано концертно-гастрольну та конкурсно-фестивальну діяльність дрогобицьких митців Інституту музичного мистецтва; узагальнено здобутки та визначено роль дрогобицької музичної школи в контексті розвитку сучасного українського академічного мистецтва.The dissertation for obtaining the scientific degree of Candidate of Art History specialty 17.00.03 – Musical Art. – Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko, Sumy, 2021. The thesis investigates the specifics of Drohobych Music School as a peculiar phenomenon of Ukrainian academic art. The basic center of Drohobych Music School is the Educational and Scientific Institute of Music Art of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University. Drohobych Music School is positioned as a regional, performing, pedagogical, scientific, which is confirmed by the activity of artistic processes, the formation and enrichment of scientific, pedagogical, performing traditions, etc. The study systematizes and classifies the pedagogical principles of regional schools of vocal and instrumental arts, considers the features and principles underlying the performance interpretation, determines the artistic and practical value of original music and translations, the level and scope of methodological developments, potential and methods of scientific and theoretical understanding of artistic activities of Drohobych school representatives in the context of Ukrainian academic art. The research novelty of the obtained results is that in the work for the first time: the typology of features of Drohobych music school is systematized on the example of the Institute of Music Art of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University as an autonomous regional school; creative achievements are considered and the role of leading scientists, teachers, performers in the process of formation of the regional school is established (on the example of creative activity of M. Kopnin, E. Mantuliev, K. Siatetskyi, P. Turianskyi, Ye. Shunevych, A. Dushniy, V. Salii); the concert, didactic and educationalmethodical achievements as a result of the development of the institution are covered, within the framework of which the analysis of scientific, pedagogical and performing achievements is carried out; the concert-touring and competitionfestival activity of Drohobych artists of the Institute of Music Art is traced and characterized; the achievements are summarized and the role of Drohobych Music School in the context of the development of modern Ukrainian academic art is determined
